BIOGRAPHY
Vancouver-based singer/songwriter Rebecca Sichon (SEA - Shon) delivers a blend of R&B, Soul & Jazz in her music. Taking inspiration from the vocal acrobatics of Yebba and the grittiness of Amy Winehouse, Sichon’s voice oozes with emotion that captivates listeners. She has been releasing music under her name since 2016 and performing professionally since 2019.
Her single, “Ego” (July 2025), is an upbeat and dynamic song about how your ego can sometimes get in the way. The soulful, folky tune carries a bold attitude and features ethnic instruments from around the world performed by Rebecca’s father, Boris Sichon—a world-renowned, master instrumentalist known for his work across diverse genres and global stages.
The ambitious talent has graced over 250 stages across Canada and the US, including notable festivals such as Winnipeg Folk Festival, Salmon Arm Roots & Blues, and opening for rising Canadian talent Ruby Waters at Nest Fest in Kelowna, BC. She has performed 29 Sofar Sounds shows, becoming an alumnus of this global music phenomenon, and has showcased her talent at Toronto’s Canadian Music Week in both 2022 and 2023. Her live performance of “Stay” at the TD Music Hall for the Honey Jam Showcase was broadcast on CBC Music. She performed at NXNE (2025) and will perform at Massey Hall in Toronto for Honey Jam’s 30th anniversary show. Rebecca has been featured in the renowned blog EARMILK and has amassed over 175,000 streams across platforms. With accolades including R&B Artist of the Year at the Fraser Valley Music Awards (2022) and a growing reputation for her soulful live performances and natural stage presence, Rebecca Sichon is a rising force in Canada’s music scene, poised to reach audiences far beyond.
