BIOGRAPHY
Vancouver-based singer/songwriter Rebecca Sichon (SEA - Shon) delivers a blend of R&B, Soul & Jazz in her music. Taking inspiration from the vocal acrobatics of Yebba and the grittiness of Amy Winehouse, Sichon’s voice oozes with emotion that captivates listeners.
Sichon’s release, "Pieces of My Soul" (January 2025) is a celebration of resilience—the understanding that we find our greatest strength, in our weakest moments. It’s a poignant reminder to embrace and express every part of who we are, as each piece contributes to the person we become. The heartfelt song was written during a reflective moment in Toronto, Canada, with acclaimed songwriter Rosanne Baker Thornley and #1 charting producer/artist Ben Pelchat.
The ambitious talent has graced over 250 stages across Canada and the US, including notable festivals such as Winnipeg Folk Festival, Salmon Arm Roots & Blues, and opening for rising Canadian talent Ruby Waters at Nest Fest in Kelowna, BC. Sichon has played an impressive 29 Sofar Sounds shows, becoming an alumnus of this Global Music Phenomenon, and has showcased her talent at Toronto’s Canadian Music Week in both 2022 and 2023. Her music has been featured multiple times on CBC Radio, written about in the notable online blog EARMILK, and has amassed over 175,000 streams across all platforms. With accolades such as winning the Fraser Valley Music Award’s R&B Artist of the Year (2022) and a growing live reputation thanks partly to her charming and natural stage presence, Rebecca Sichon is poised to break out of Canada and captivate the wider world.
